WHEN THE RECORDS DON’T TELL THE WHOLE STORY

SOUND FAMILIAR?

Freight keeps moving. The records don’t always keep up. These are the questions we help you work through.

01

DELIVERED. BUT BILLED?

A completed load with no matching invoice deserves a closer look.

02

WHO OWES WHAT?

Shipper and carrier balances should come with an explanation.

03

WHAT DID THE FACTOR KEEP?

Advances, fees, and reserves need to tie back to the settlement.

04

STILL DOING THE BOOKS?

Matching records shouldn’t compete with every other owner decision.

01 / WHAT YOU RECEIVE

A SHORT LIST.
A CLEAR NEXT MOVE.

See the load, the issue, and the next action in one place. Each week, you know which questions need your attention.

Delivered as readable reports and usable exports. No new client portal to learn.

BROKER BOOKS SIGNATURE CLEANUP

Start with books you can build on.

Up to three consecutive historical months for one agreed entity. We reconcile accounts, investigate load and billing gaps, review outstanding balances and applicable factoring settlements, correct supported errors, and deliver reviewed reports.

Cleanup target: within 30 days of the agreed start and confirmed complete records and supportable opening balances, whichever is later. We confirm feasibility and your delivery calendar before accepting payment.

$2,500 standalone

Buy the scoped cleanup on its own. Onboarding included. Two payments of $1,250: at project start and reviewed delivery. No monthly service required.

Included with the two-close pilot. Sign an accepted scope and pay the first monthly installment by October 30, 2026, 11:59 p.m. Central. A booking alone does not reserve the offer.

Additional historical months, extra entities and substantial missing-record reconstruction require a separate agreed quote. No surprise cleanup bill. Ask about your scope ↗

Two consecutive monthly closes do not necessarily equal 60 calendar days. Timing depends on period ends and record readiness. Continue by agreement at $1,250/month for the same scope, or stop after the pilot. No automatic price jump or retroactive cleanup charge.

03 / HOW IT WORKS

A SIMPLE ROUTE
TO CLEARER BOOKS.

03

You receive a weekly action list and reviewed monthly reports with a plain-language explanation.

ABOUT SCALF BOOKKEEPING

FOCUSED ON THE BOOKS
BEHIND YOUR BROKERAGE.

Scalf Bookkeeping is starting with a focused pilot for Texas freight brokerage owners who still handle their own books.

Our approach connects load records to financial records, puts human review behind the monthly close, and gives the owner a useful next-action list. The aim is simple: reliable books and balances you can understand.

We establish records, fit, and scope before agreeing to the work. You keep ownership of your ledger and receive usable reports for your accountant.

BEFORE YOU TAKE THE NEXT STEP

GOOD QUESTIONS.
STRAIGHT ANSWERS.

Who is this pilot for?

Owner-operated Texas freight brokerages, generally 12–36 months after receiving authority, without dedicated finance staff. We start with one legal entity and USD books. Load volume, record quality, factoring, and ledger/TMS compatibility are confirmed during the fit review.

Can you work with factoring?

Yes, when used, applicable factoring reconciliation belongs in the agreed scope. We review the contract and statements, including assigned invoices, advances, fees, reserves, releases, and chargebacks. We confirm that your records and complexity can be supported before engagement.

What records will you need?

Typically: your load register, invoices and carrier bills, receipts and payment records, ledger exports, bank/card statements, and supported opening balances. If you factor, we also need the factor contract and statements. We agree a checklist for your systems. No financial documents or bank access are needed for your initial inquiry.

How involved will I need to be?

You provide the agreed records, clarify business facts, and make owner decisions. We handle matching, reconciliation, and book preparation. Routine questions are consolidated weekly; urgent issues are raised promptly. Onboarding and cleanup can require more involvement.

What if my books are behind?

Broker Books Signature Cleanup covers up to three consecutive historical months for one agreed entity, with onboarding included. It is available on its own for $2,500, or included at no extra charge with the $2,500 two-close pilot when you enroll by October 30, 2026. Additional months, extra entities or substantial missing-record reconstruction require a separate quote before you commit.

What is included in the cleanup?

We assess records and opening balances, reconcile agreed bank/card accounts, compare completed loads with billing and carrier obligations, review outstanding balances and applicable factoring settlements, correct supported errors, and deliver reviewed reports with an accountant handoff. The covered months, accounts and workload are written into your scope. Historical work is not billed again as a monthly service period.

How soon can my cleanup be finished?

Our target is within 30 calendar days after the agreed start date and confirmation of complete required records and supportable opening balances, whichever is later. We assess feasibility and confirm your calendar before accepting payment. Missing records or unresolved client decisions can change the date; we explain any delay and provide weekly progress. This is a service target, not an unconditional guarantee.

Do I need to change accounting or TMS software?

We first check your current accounting ledger and TMS/export format. Supported compatibility is confirmed during the fit review; we do not assume an integration works. Your accounting ledger remains yours, and we provide usable exports.

How are price and timing agreed?

The monthly pilot is $1,250 for each of two consecutive service periods: $2,500 total service fees, billed in two installments. Onboarding is included. The first installment is due at the agreed pilot start and the second at the start of the second identified monthly period. We confirm your records, workload, exact periods and dates before you commit. Prices exclude any applicable tax and your existing ledger/TMS subscriptions; your quote states the full charge.

How do I qualify for the included cleanup?

New eligible clients must have an accepted scope, a signed two-close pilot agreement and the first $1,250 installment paid by October 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central. A call booking alone does not reserve the offer. The cleanup is limited to the agreed three-month maximum; your records and our delivery capacity must support the accepted scope. No separate onboarding charge or automatic cleanup clawback applies.

What happens after the two closes?

Continue by agreement at $1,250 per month for the same scope, or take your accountant handoff pack and stop. Continuation is optional. You can stop future monthly periods before the next billing date. There is no automatic price jump or retroactive cleanup charge. Two closes may take more than 60 calendar days because timing depends on period ends and record readiness. Your agreement covers completed work and any unearned prepaid fees if the engagement ends early.

What is outside the offer?

Money movement, tax preparation, payroll, dispute negotiation, and third-party collections are outside this offer. We identify and explain supported issues and provide follow-up templates; the owner decides how to act.
